Super Smoothies

Hey Chicks!!

Happy Monday! Now I know we have talked about green smoothies before as a fab way of getting in fruits and veggies. I am sure to include one at least once a day since it’s so easy to get about 4 servings of fruit and veggies in one shot. Smoothies really make sure you get your nutritional bases covered. Toss in a scoop of protein powder and you have a great meal replacement too!

Here’s the one I had today:

1/2 avocado

2 cups spinach

1 cup fresh strawberries

1 scoop unflavoured protein powder

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

water

Spinach is the easiest green to incorporate in a smoothie, but don’t be afraid to try others like kale, dandelion, lettuce, or chard. These greens do tend to be a bit more bitter, so throw in a couple of dates as a sweeter fruit is needed to balance out the flavours.
