hey Chicks!
I hope this post finds you all healthy and not plagued with the flu that’s going around. Eating fruits and veggies doesn’t guarantee that you won’t get sick, but eating lots of nutrient packed food is always good for the body. As i have posted before, i am a HUGE fan of green smoothies and try to drink a litre or two of green smoothie a day to ensure that i am getting in as many fruits and veggies (and especially greens!) as possible.
I really encourage you to make these part of your lifestyle, so I am going to start sharing with you a lot more of my fave green smoothie recipes (most of which i just throw together!)
This choco-coco-banana smoothie is a fave of mine, but it’s pretty rich and chocolatey, so it’s more of a treat than my day to day go-to smoothie. But try it, my chicklets love this one!
2 frozen banana (you can use regular bananas, but it just won’t be as thick and shake-like)
1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp cacao powder
water of one thai young coconut
a few handfuls of baby spinach
agave nectar to taste
blend together until smooth – you can add a little water to get the desired thickness. Drink through a straw and pretend you are enjoying a decadent chocolate shake!
