Day 15 – Plan Your Cheats

Hey Chicks,

I know that eating perfectly ALL of the time is close to impossible. But I find if you plan for the times you know you are going to “cheat”, you have more control of the situation and don’t go crazy.

Tomorrow I am off to Banff for a much needed weekend away from my family. I know there will be lots of drinking and meals out (a weekend away just wouldn’t be complete without it!) I don’t want this weekend though to be an excuse to stuff my face 24 hours a day. Here’s what I am planning:

1. I know dinners will be out, and I am planning to indulge in whatever I want to have, as long as it’s what I want. I won’t have fries just for the hell of it, since I prefer salads mostly!

2. I will eat lighter on brekkie and lunch. Lots of salads, fresh fruit, and water to drink.

3. I checked that the hotel has a gym, so I will start each day with a short, but intense workout.

4. I’m going to enjoy the outdoors and walk as much as I can during the day.

I’m sure I won’t lose any weight this weekend, but I don’t want to come back 5 pounds heavier either. By planning a few strategies, you can enjoy yourself and easily get back on track after time off.

I will check in from Banff, just cuz I am away doesn’t mean I won’t be blogging!

ttyl, Sis 🙂
