Hey Chicks,
Hope you are all having a super fab weekend – mine has been packed!
Friday night, Team FIT CHICKS and I took out our AMAZING support crew from our OXFAM Trailwalker race, Chris and Dallas, as a SUPER HUGE thank you for their help –my feet and I never would have made it through that 100km without them!

The bagpipers at halftime at the Toronto FC Game. 22000 peeps came out in the rain to support!
On Saturday, we headed to the Toronto FC game against New York at BMO field. It was my first time there and we had so much fun – even though we lost 4-1 and it started raining! After a pretty late Friday night and the game, we were wiped so we decided instead of heading out for dinner, we were going to chill out and have a “Chicks Night In”
“Chicks Nights In” are my fave type of slow down nights. Not only are they inexpensive (our whole spread cost less than $20), it is a super healthy way to spend time and reconnect with the peeps you love. Plus, even if you are the least “Martha Stewart” type like me, you instantly look like a Domestic Diva!
Our CHICK FEED spread included:
Fresh baked whole grain bread
Brown Rice Crackers (for my gluten fee chicks!)
Homemade Chick Pea & Feta Dip
Laura’s Sassy Salsa (my fave homemade salsa – I put it on everything!)
Grape tomatoes, baby carrots, marinated mushrooms
Roasted garlic, sundried tomatoes and Camabert cheese

Chick Night In Spread - so delicious!
Add some cute plates, girlie movies and heart healthy red wine (just try not to drink the whole bottle!) and voila – an awesome Saturday night!

I don't know where to start but a carrot seems like a good place!
I am always looking for dips and spreads to add to my “Chick’s Night In” recipe book, so please leave me your fave ideas and recipes!
PS September GI Jane Bootcamps are up for registration! Check them out!
Have a fab day!
Laura, Your Head Chick
