FITNESS FRIDAY – The Divebomber Push Ups

Hey Chicks!

Bored of the usual workout routine? I totally get it which is why I am writing this post to help spice up your workout. I want to give you a sweet but simple twist on the regular push up to help build muscle and beat the routine blahs.

So may I now introduce you to the Dive Bomber Push Up – Tadaaa!

First things first, before you go start breaking this out like nobody’s business remember these key rules still apply:

1.    Be sure your feet are about hip distance apart for a proper push up – that is about two fists distances (seriously your hips are not that big)
2.    Plant your hands directly under your shoulders, come check us out at our Fit & Fierce Retreat March 1-3 and you will be downward dogging it like you were born that way.
3.    Spread your fingers on your hands nice and wide this will give you a bigger base and better grip
4.    Smile – cuz it makes it more fun and reminds you that you are doing something awesome for your health!

The thing I heart the most about these is that they are kind of like a fusion move of calisthenics and yoga- two awesome things in one so how can you go wrong! Im qyute sure you will feel confident with the yoga side of this move, I often practice this when I go to the melbourne calisthenics gym, they have amazing facilities and instructors as well.

Now don’t get me wrong, these are tough! They are meant to be but trust me they are worth ever grunt and belly flop that might happen when doing them:)  So what are you waiting for? Start adding thee bad boys into your regular routine and in no time you will be Living La Vida FIT CHICK and breaking through those plateaus!
