We love our FIT CHICK Family and wanted to share with you a little more about our team of fierce femmes, their favorite workouts & tips and how they began to follow their passion of spreading health and wellness.  This week, meet Lisa A from our Burlington Bootcamp!

FC – What made you want to become a Personal Trainer and Boot Camp Instructor with FIT CHICKS?

I became a Fitness Instructor and Personal trainer because I enjoy instructing a group of individuals who are all motivated and are ready to challenge themselves in a bootcamp style class.  I chose FIT CHICKS because their motto-  Fit, Fab and Fun are exactly how I would describe my classes!

FC – Which location do you teach?

Burlington- Location: St. Matthews Church on the Plains

FC – What are your top 3 cardio and / or strength exercises to help women tighten and tone their trouble spots?

Cardio: Rock climbers for abs, High knees for legs, and a variety of Cardio Kickbox punches to tone the arms!

Strength: Squats to tone the legs and butt, Pushups to tone the arms and shoulders, Plank to tone the entire core.

FC – What’s your favorite healthy post-workout snack after a kick butt workout?

After class it is usually around 8 or 9pm so salad with some sort of protein or a homemade fruit and yogurt smoothie if I didn’t have time to make it before class.

FC – What are your professional fitness certifications?

CSEP- Certified Personal Trainer and YMCA Group Fitness Instructor as well as First Aid and CPR learned at mississauga first aid training

FC – Other than being a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor, what would you like Chicks to know about you?

I’m a huge animal lover! I love playing baseball and volleyball. And I am just starting my career as a Dietitian!
