Hey Chicks,
We made it to Utah! For those of you who don’t know Amanda and I have flown the coop to Utah for a week of getting our booty’s kicked at the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge (yes, the one from the NBC TV Show!).
We love (and use!) alot of similar moves/exercises in our FIT CHICKS Bootcamp so we wanted to come hang with the best of the best to see how they do it and from what we have seen so far – they ROCK!
Here I am the morning of Day 1 – I was already zonked!
I have not been this tired in a looong time (well, maybe since the Oxfam Trailwalker!). Our day today consisted of a jam packed workout schedule starting at 6am with a 2.5 hour hike through the beautiful red rock mountains in Utah. Amanda and I were so pumped for the start of the week, we did high intensity intervals of 1 min running and 2 min power walking recovery THE WHOLE TIME! A little overambitious as it was def harder than usual with the altitude, climate and lack of sleep so we were pretty spent after that.
But no sleep for theses chick! We then had a water interval training course with weights in the outdoor pool, lunch and 2 lectures on healthy eating, a cardio circuit class, core training with stability balls (this was tough!! but i have some sweet new abs news that you chicks are gonna love!!), another killer water training class and then dinner and another lecture on portions. As soon as I put down my fork, I think my eyes closed at the exact same time – even though I workout everyday, this chick was not used to this!
The food so far has been delicious and their focus is on highly nutritious, quality volume eating which we totally promote with our chicks so it was very similar to how we eat at home. One thing that scares me though is NO CAFFEINE! We will be keeping you posted on our adventures this week as much as we can as they seem to have us action packed all day!
