Fall is in the air and we are still lovin’ our Vitamixes and can’t get enough green smoothies. Here’s a fall twist on a smoothie – just in time for Thanksgiving. Canned pumpkin can be readily found at most grocery stores, and it’s pretty cheap. It is super high in fibre and nutrients and a great addition to your diet. Try this one out and let us know what you think – as well as your own smoothie ideas!
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 large handfuls of spinach
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ginger, 1/4 tsp allspice
- a few dates (optional, but they add some more sweetness)
- a few ice cubes
Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender and enjoy!
Calories – 177, 7 grams fat, 6 grams protein, 10 grams fibre!!!
