So August is here and our GI JANE Bootcamps are back up in full swing – woot woot!
This is one of my fave parts of the month. Meeting all the new chicks as they get started on there journey to find their inner FIT CHICK (and learn that epsom salts are their new best friend) but also seeing my return chicks keep getting stronger and fitter every month. This month’s FIT TEST, we had double numbers across the board and all my return chicks are doing push ups on their toes – I luv it!
I am actually flying the coop this weekend for a little vacay with my BFF’s. Where you may ask? I am heading to Las Vegas for the Ultimate BBoy Breakdancing Competition (I am sooo excited!). Vegas is not my typical type of vacation- I usually like something that involves a backpack, foreign country and a big fab fitness goal but as some of you know, in addition to my pedometer fixation, I also have a little obsession with breakdancing (stra, I know). It just amazes me the physical and mental strength that goes into doing these moves. Throw in some sweet tunes, a little healthy competition and little eye candy – who wouldn’t love breakdancing! Plus, after Oxfam I am looking forward to watching someone else sweat it out.
What is my workout plan while on the road? Peddy (my pedometer) is coming with me of course and I will be making sure I get my minimum 10k steps a day. Plus, I have a 20min strength training and stretch / day workout that I have designed for hotel rooms to keep me on track and not stress about the extra dessert I plan on having (It is all about balance, chicks!). I will be sure to share once I am back!
