My Mini-Staycation Plans

Happy Friday, Chicks! We just finished our July GI JANE Bootcamps with fab results and it is long weekend – who could ask for a better day?!

Instead of fighting traffic this weekend, I have decided to stay in Toronto and enjoy my fabulous city. There is so much going on from great trails, outdoor movies, fab fitness classes – I am going to plan a little mini vacay for myself without having to leave home. Here is my plan :


1. Hot Yoga
– I truly love interval and strength training but I always make sure to include flexibility in my workouts. My fave is Bikram Yoga. If you like heat, you will like this as it is done in a room heating to approx 40 degrees.


2. BBQ with my Besties – I heart BBQ! It is a super healthy way to cook your food (as long as you avoid a ton of butter, sauces and fatty meats!). I am opting for grilled portabella mushroom burgers with goat cheese and veggie kebabs – so delicious! Plus. hanging with peeps I love is my fave way to feed the soul.



3. A Pedicure!
Fred Flintstone called and wants his feet back. These tootsies are toast after taking part in the Oxfam Trailwalker last weekend so I am def gonna spruce them up as I just got a cute new pair of sandals I want to rock.
