With all the holiday parties and impromptu get togethers, it’s so easy to splurge on unhealthy food and drinks. The absolute worse thing you can do is starve yourself the rest of the day in anticipation for a holiday feast. Stay on track by eating your 3 healthy meals and a couple of snacks if you need to, that way you won’t get to the party famished and polish off the entire tray of canapes by yourself!

canapeHave a healthy, low-cal but high-volume snack before heading out on the town, things like miso soup, a large salad topped with hard boiled eggs or tuna, a green smoothie or even a bowl of oatmeal are all fab ideas. That way when you get to the event, you can scope out the food and make the best choices. Sure you can have a treat or two, but you will be in control and not your uncontrollable hunger pains!
