October Chick of the Month

Hey Chicks! We are so proud of our October Chick of the Month Amy Scholl. Amy has melted 11 pounds of fat and 9 inches off of her body since joining GI Jane Bootcamp! Check out our interview with her:

Amy Scholl - Before and After FIT CHICKSFC – How long have you been sweating up a storm with FIT CHICKS?

AS – I started GI Jane Bootcamp in April 2009 and I haven’t looked back!

FC – What were your top 3 goals when joining bootcamp?

AS – My top three goals were to gain endurance and strength, lose weight and feel healthy and energized.

FC – What have your results been like?

AS – I’ve lost 11 pounds and 9 inches, I’ve more than doubled my fitness test results in all categories and I always feel like I have energy to burn. I was very pleased that this year I was able to run the Terry Fox run with my students: something I’ve never been able to do before!

FC – What is your fave FIT CHICK exercise?

AS – My favourite exercise is holding plank while doing backward rows. I feel so strong! I also enjoy the obstacle courses that MJ often sets up during class.

FC – Do you find the class inviting and accessible?

AS – Class is absolutely inviting and accessible. If it wouldn’t have been, I can guarantee I wouldn’t still be here. I’ve had the pleasure of working with MJ, Tara and Amanda and each one of them makes sure they are pushing their students without making them feel like failures. I’ve never had more enjoyable and inspiring workouts. Also, the chicks in the program are supportive and encouraging – even on your worst days!

It’s funny but when I joined the program I was really dreading it. I joined with 3 friends, all of whom are very active, and I felt insecure and that I’d probably be a failure. I wasn’t used to exercise and hadn’t enjoyed it in the past. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my first class, although it exhausted me, and found a great instructor in MJ. I loved the positive vibe and the fact that I could go at my own pace and level.

FC – What is your definition of a FIT CHICK?

AS – My definition of a fit chick is someone who is positive, active, healthy and won’t turn down a good arm wrestle!
