Hey Chicks!
Hope you are having an awesome week! . I know you (and me) KNOW to eat them, but how many of us actually do eat enough? If you want to lose weight (or just be healthy) you can’t eat enough fruits and veggies. “Diet” meals can seem so small and unsatisfying, so bulking them up with tons of veg really helps keep you full without loading on the calories. Make sure at least half of your meal is produce and you’ll be on the right track.
Here’s what I ate today to give you some ideas:
Breakfast – oatmeal with 1 cup of blueberries
Snack – smoothie made with 1/2 avocado, 1/2 cucumber and 3 cups of spinach
Lunch – Flax crackers, an apple and a banana
Snack – 3 banana walnut raw cookies (I am on a dehydrator kick this week!), 3 pieces of fresh pineapple
Dinner – omelet with salmon, goat cheese and red peppers and an apple
This was an awesome day for me – about 10 fruit and veggie servings 🙂 The thing that’s great is it’s not deprivation to ADD these delicious foods into your diet. Focus on adding the healthy food and you’ll naturally eat less junk.
Even the Chicklets always have fruit and veggies at each meal! For dinner tonight they had scrambled eggs with spinach in them, olives, 3 helpings of broccoli and some pineapple. If I get convince 2 year olds to eat their veggies, I hope I can convince you too!
